From independent to dependent

Before 12/2002 I was very active and enjoyed my job. I'd travel on business on my own. Able to cook dinners, like to go shopping on my own, and just get in the car and visit people. After 11/2004, I now need my husband to help me in the shower, dress me, cook dinner, and be my chauffeur. Limiting up out of the bed about 4hrs (pressure sores). Just being able to do things on the spur of the moment is gone. Another thing just dropping something on the floor, if I don't have a grabber handy my poor husband is given the task to pick up after me.

I try not to feel sorry for myself. I see other people that have it worse and I'm lucky to have a great husband and family.
