Finding meaning and adjusting to life with NMOSD

NMOSD changes everything. Many people go from living full, active lives, to being limited. How have you adjusted? What are some new hobbies or activities that you've engaged in to make up for things that you can no longer do?

  1. This is so relatable. I have been doing art classes once a month on zoom and with my mom, I’m also trying to get out more, at least before it gets way too humid I will be indoors all summer. Journaling, mediating and listening to music too.

    1. I have been in to a lot of music as always i so miss dancing so much going to do that real soon because i am a grate dancer i getting out more by my self and changing to a new me

      1. I listen to my body when I start feeling aches and pains. I know then my body is telling me to take time out and bed rest for two days straight. Therefore as the body rest, my mind rest and the brain go to work to repair taking away some of the exertion that is caused also from pain and aches. I also take Enspyrng monthly which helps. Also sugar free diet has helped me calm down the inflammation that may cause a flare up. After two days of rest the third day I try to take small walks either early in the morning before the heat of the day or later in the afternoon when the sun is setting. I’m just saying these are some of the things that helped me keep my sanity with this dreadful disease.
