The Eyeball Headache
Hi NMOSD fam!!
Let’s talk about the eyeball headache! That intense pain in the back of your eye that’s so deep and painful. The kind of pain that no amount of medication can really fix.
Since my attack, I have had the eyeball headache that will make itself prevalent from time to time.
Does anyone else experience this?
Oh yes, I have experienced the eyeball headache! It was my first NMO attack. A week of constant pain in the eye, wishing I didn't need to move my eyes as it made the pain worse. When the pain went away, the darkness set in. I guess I can say I was lucky it was just my left eye and most of my sight came back. Now the summer heat and humidity brings back that eyeball headache. Though not as bad as the original attack, it is still painful.
I had this during my attack. I had double vision.
The heat definitely exacerbates mine as well!
What do you do for relief?omg I never knew hot weather can do that?!! no worries! Is it possible to get a cooling towel or neck fan?
I do get that occasionally. Actually had that the other night. But typicall happens around the times of attacks so I get super nervous every time it happens. Super sucky feeling.
